Proteus Velo Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping members achieve higher goals in competitive or non-competitive cycling. Proteus VC is affiliated in the MABRA region and is a member of the USA Cycling organization. The club focuses on gravel and cyclocross events, but we eventually plan to participate in MTB and road events. Proteus Bicycles of College Park, MD operates as the club's primary sponsor and current club membership stands at over 40 members
With an ongoing schedule of practice rides and racing events, Proteus VC seeks to develop a team of racers who will learn team-building techniques and skills for effective racing. The club will also host community social rides to promote PVC and raise awareness of the benefits of bicycling to one’s mental and physical health.
